Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Medical Assistant in Arizona to support exams, patient care and front/back office duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will work under the supervision of a provider and use EMR/EHR systems proficiently.

Responsibilities include vitals, assisting with procedures, specimen collection, and ensuring safety and policy compliance in a team-oriented clinic environment. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• Or completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) Medical Assistant training program AND a National Certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA).

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and provider direction.
• Perfoms blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and sports physicals.
• Maintains EMR/EHR proficiency and supports front office as needed.
