Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona is seeking a Medical Assistant to support exams and patient care in a fast-paced team setting. You will assist providers with vitals and procedures, manage medications, and help with front/back office tasks in a dynamic clinic environment.

The role requires completing an approved MA program and proficiency in EMR/EHR; you will perform blood draws, urine collections, and ensure safe, quality patient care while adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an APPROVED Medical Assistant training program.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision of the Provider.
• Administers all forms of medications per policy and Provider direction and adheres to safety protocols.
• Will perform blood draws as directed by the Provider.
• May perform urine collection for testing including employer drug screens.
• May perform splinting and casting.
• Notifies the provider on duty of unusual patient occurrences and medication events.
• Follows laboratory and accreditation guidelines; proficient in EMR/EHR.
• Support front office reception as needed.
