Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office for our Arizona urgent care team in Prescott Valley. You will support providers during exams, take patient vitals, and help manage front desk operations to keep patient flow smooth.

Key duties include administering medications per policy, drawing blood, assisting with procedures, EMR/EHR proficiency, and handling routine lab tasks and specimens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• Or completed an unapproved (non-accredited) MA training program AND national certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA).
• Must be proficient in EMR/EHR.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and sports physicals.
• Performs front office duties to support patient flow and discharge processes.
• Ensures compliance with laboratory and accreditation policies.
