Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support examination procedures, patient vitals, and front/back-office tasks in a fast-paced team setting. The role emphasizes patient care, medication administration, and adherence to safety protocols within an urgent care environment.

Primary duties include assisting providers, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and enabling efficient clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) Medical Assistant training program AND a National Certification through one of the following: CMA/AMT/CCMA exam and certification

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws as directed by the provider.
• May collect urine samples for testing including drug screens.
• May perform splinting and casting.
• Conducts physicals such as sports physicals.
• Performs other duties per company policy and urgent care needs.
• Supports Front Office Reception as needed (wait times, patient flow, discharge processing).
• Delivers patient care in back office and ensures clinic operations run smoothly.
