Job summary

Cottage Medical Group seeks a Per Diem Clinical Concierge (Licensed Vocational Nurse-Certified Medical Assistant) for the Cottage Urgent Care–San Luis Obispo–Foothill Plaza Clinic. The role involves registering, collecting payments, rooming patients, assisting the provider, discharging, and following up to maximize care and patient experience.

Qualifications include CA LVN licensure or MA certification, BLS, Epic EMR knowledge, phlebotomy and injections preferred; 1 year of related experience is

Qualifications

• Completion of Vocational Nurse or Medical Assistant program or 2 years equivalent work experience.
• California LVN licensure or MA certification.
• AHA BLS for Health Care Providers.
• Knowledge of urgent care, medical terminology, and Epic EMR; basic computer skills.
• Phlebotomy and injections preferred.
• 1 year of LVN/MA experience with EMR and phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with front and back office duties in outpatient management.
• Register patients, collect payments, and discharge; accompany patients and families through the visit.
