Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task across phone lines, computer systems and interruptions.
• Typing speed 30 wpm and data entry proficiency.
• Preferred: six months' experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
• Spanish bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route all incoming calls; document messages and transfer as needed.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information; perform insurance verification.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments and tests; provide prep instructions.
• Prepare charts, prints, and forms for next day; support physicians as needed.
• Assist with billing tasks and patient records as required.
