Corewell Health Urgent Care in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the first point of contact and manage front-office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This full-time role emphasizes patient experience, confidentiality, and teamwork while supporting clinic workflow.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, and assist providers and staff. The position requires 12-hour shifts, some weekends/holidays, and travel to other Corewell Health

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking.
• Technical: Proficient with computers; EMR software experience, EPIC preferred.
• Flexibility: Able to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
• Team player: Proactive, friendly, patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Warm welcome: greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Documentation: maintain confidentiality while collecting important documents.
• Insurance verification: verify eligibility and explain payment policies.
• Financial responsibility: collect patient payments with clarity.
• Collaborative support: assist the practice manager, providers, and staff.
• Compliance: adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Administrative duties: perform office tasks and operate medical equipment.
• Quality assurance: ensure CLIA waived labs and patient result trackers.
• Travel: travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
