Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a premier urgent care on the Eastside. This 40-hour-per-week role offers fixed shift rotations and a path to permanent employment for strong performers.

The ideal candidate has an active WA MA-C credential, at least two years of ambulatory experience, and proficiency with Epic EHR. The role includes phlebotomy duties, patient rooming, and cross-site coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Medical Assistant – Certified (MA-C) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Medical Assisting experience in ambulatory, outpatient, or urgent care.
• Demonstrated phlebotomy skills and comfort with routine blood draws/specimen processing.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (Epic experience preferred).
• Ability to pass standard healthcare onboarding compliance (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, TB screening, fit testing).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate swift patient rooming and intake (20–30+ patients daily).
• Obtain and record vital signs, chief complaints, and health histories in Epic EHR.
• Perform routine outpatient procedures including phlebotomy and rapid point-of-care tests.
• Assist physicians and clinicians with examinations, minor procedures, and virtual follow-ups.
• Handle in-basket patient inquiries, prescription refill coordination, and post-visit discharge instructions.
• Provide multi-site clinic support across Eastside outpatient locations as needed.
