Job summary
UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) – Urgent Care to join our team. This part-time 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) role features a day/evening shift with every other weekend/holiday rotation.
You will assist with urgent non-life-threatening care, collect patient history, vital signs, EKGs, and meds, and support procedures and emergent assessments. We offer comprehensive benefits, tuition support, and flexible schedules designed for work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required or equivalent licensure.
- LPN licensure is required upon hire.
- Completion of UWH MA Apprenticeship or related programs is preferred.
- CCMA/CMA/RMA certification within hire timeline is expected.
- One year MA experience and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient history and document chief complaint, medications, allergies.
- Check vital signs, perform EKGs and administer medications/treatments.
- Assist with procedures and prepare patients for providers.
- Assist in assessing and stabilizing emergent patients for EMS transport.
