Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Gloucester, MA seeks a Part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for our Urgent Care clinic. You will provide preventative care and assess acute and chronic illnesses under a collaborating physician, performing examinations and documenting care in patient records.

You must be a graduate of an MSN or PA program with current MA NP/PA licensure, DEA and MCSR, and be comfortable suturing in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Flu vaccination is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and document patient information and care provided.
• Evaluate data to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and make therapeutic plan recommendations.
• Administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines.
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis, schedule and prepare patients for diagnostic testing.
• Provide instructions to patients, families, and care providers relative to medications and act as a care advocate.

Job Details

• Part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) position within an Urgent Care clinic setting
• Provide preventative patient care in addition to assessing acute and chronic patient illnesses under the general direction of a collaborating primary care physician
• Perform thorough physical examinations while obtaining complete physical history
• Maintain patient records and relevant statistics by documenting patient information and care provided
• Evaluate and interpret data to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and make therapeutic plan recommendations
• Administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis, schedule and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
• Provide instructions to patients, families, and care providers relative to required medications and act as a care advocate in providing recommendations
• Must be a graduate of a Master's in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program
• Must hold current NP or PA certification and license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• DEA and MCSR required
• Must have received formal training in suturing and be comfortable practicing in a fast-paced urgent care environment
• All staff are required to be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
