Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our urgent care clinic in Lynnfield, MA.

You will assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on high-quality patient care. Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing or a PA program, current NP/PA certification and Massachusetts licensure, DEA/MCSR, and influenza vaccination.

Qualifications

• Current NP/PA certification and Massachusetts license to practice.
• DEA and MCSR required.
• Influenza vaccination required as condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative patient care and assess acute and chronic illnesses in an urgent care clinic.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and obtain complete patient history.
• Evaluate data to determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
• Maintain patient records and statistics by documenting care provided.
• Administer medications and injections in line with state law and employer guidelines.
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis and schedule diagnostic testing.
• Educate patients, families, and care providers on medications and care instructions.

Job Details:

• Provide preventative patient care and assess acute and chronic patient illnesses in an urgent care clinic setting
• Perform thorough physical examinations while obtaining complete patient history
• Evaluate and interpret data to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and make therapeutic plan recommendations
• Maintain patient records and relevant statistics by documenting patient information and care provided
• Administer medication and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis, schedule and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
• Provide instructions to patients, family members, and care providers regarding required medications and serve as a care advocate
• Must be a graduate of a Master's in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program
• Must hold current NP or PA certification and license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• DEA and MCSR required
• Must be comfortable practicing in a fast-paced urgent care setting and able to function autonomously in the care of challenging patients
• Vaccination against influenza (flu) is required as a condition of employment
