Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Gloucester, MA seeks a Part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for our Urgent Care clinic. You will provide preventative care and assess acute and chronic illnesses under a collaborating physician, performing examinations and documenting care in patient records.

You must be a graduate of an MSN or PA program with current MA NP/PA licensure, DEA and MCSR, and be comfortable suturing in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Flu vaccination is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an MSN or PA program.
• Must hold current MA NP or PA license.
• DEA and MCSR registration required.
• Suturing training and comfort in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
• Influenza vaccination required for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative patient care and assess acute and chronic illnesses under a collaborating physician.
• Perform physical examinations and document patient information and care provided.
• Evaluate data to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and make therapeutic plan recommendations.
• Administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines.
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis, schedule and prepare patients for diagnostic testing.
• Provide instructions to patients, families, and care providers relative to medications and act as a care advocate.
