Job summary

Job Details:

• Full-time Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) position
• Perform thorough physical examinations while obtaining complete patient histories
• Maintain patient records and relevant statistics by documenting patient information and care provided
• Evaluate and interpret data to ascertain preliminary diagnoses and make therapeutic plan recommendations
• Administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and employer guidelines
• Obtain specimens for lab analysis, schedule and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
• Provide instructions to patients, families, and care providers relative to required medications and act as a care advocate
• Graduate of a Master's in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program required
• Certification and current NP or PA license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
• DEA and MCSR required
• Formal training in suturing and comfort practicing in a fast-paced urgent care setting preferred
• Experience as an NP/PA in urgent care or emergency care setting is ideal but not required
• Must be dedicated to delivering outstanding care and customer service to patients and their families
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function autonomously in the care of challenging patients required
• Influenza (flu) vaccination required as a condition of employment
