Job summary

American Family Care Elyson in Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver patient care within the scopes of training and agreement, collaborating with physicians and staff to maintain smooth patient flow and high satisfaction.

The APP will take histories, perform assessments, order tests, diagnose and treat, and provide patient education and referrals as needed. Prior ER/UC experience is preferred; licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification.
• Active and current licensure as PA or NP; DEA number required.
• State-controlled substance certificate, as required.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Excellent communication with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Take complete, detailed health histories and assess complaints.
• Develop medical assessments and order labs/imaging.
• Institute treatment or referrals to facilities and resources.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
• Educate patients and families on care and health promotion.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient patient flow.
