Job summary

Soldiers of Earth is seeking a Climate Specialist Supervisor to support climate and behavior in partner schools. The role focuses on maintaining a learning-friendly environment, monitoring student behavior, and enforcing school policies.

The position requires experience in conflict resolution programs, urban school settings, and collaboration with teachers to implement the School Climate Plan. Full-time, 10-month term with a pro-rated salary and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 credit hours in matriculated status at an accredited college/university.
• One year of full-time, paid or volunteer experience in community or schools developing or implementing conflict resolution programs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of paid urban school experience implementing conflict resolution programs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate smooth transitions at start and end of the school day.
• Assist in establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures.
• Enforce the Code of Student Conduct and school policies.
• Attend workshops and professional development on climate and behavior programs.
• Intervene to minimize conflicts between students and prevent escalation.
• Participate in implementing the School Climate Plan.
• Reinforce appropriate behavior with individual students.
• Monitor student behavior during unstructured time.
• Facilitate outdoor activities before and after school hours.
