Job summary

City of Seattle's Department of Education & Early Learning (DEEL) invites applications for two temporary Upward Bound Tutors (Youth Supervisor) to mentor and tutor 9th–12th grade students. Work is after-school four days a week, with potential summer continuation, at Garfield and Rainier Beach High Schools.

Ideal candidates have tutoring/mentoring experience, and an Associate's Degree or two years of college-level study.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years of college-level work required.
• Experience tutoring or mentoring youth in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring for 9th–12th graders (Math, Science, English).
• Support after-school program activities and leadership development workshops.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and workshops.
