Job summary

The University of Washington's Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity invites applications for a Counseling Services Coordinator within the Upward Bound program. You will provide administrative support, advise students, and coordinate across high schools to deliver a six-week summer academy on campus.

You will manage communications, process applications, maintain databases for grant reporting, and help develop promotional materials and calendars for opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years working with youth or college students from underrepresented backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Experience with computer systems, databases, and online data collection.
• Experience organizing program activities, managing time, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for students, schools, and public, manage communications platforms.
• Process Upward Bound applications; enroll eligible participants and create recruitment materials.
• Create and disseminate program promotional materials; maintain scholarship resources and online calendar.
• Maintain database and data entry; support reporting for grant objectives and annual progress.
• Coordinate six-week summer academy logistics: scheduling, class lists, packets, supplies.
• Provide field trip and workshop support for cultural, college, and career activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
