Job summary

Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC) is seeking an Academic Coordinator for Upward Bound to assist the Assistant Director in delivering essential program services to 78 participants from two local high schools.

You will empower first‑generation, low‑income, and at‑risk students, providing workshops and personalized guidance from high school through college, including advising on college majors and career paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, sociology, psychology, counseling, human relations or related fields.
• Experience serving populations eligible for UB services.
• Experience working in federally funded programs and/or working with high school students.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, advises and provides educational counseling for program participants.
• Will make weekly-to-biweekly visits to target schools to meet with participants.
• Documents on-going student academics, class schedules, and transcripts via computerized database.
• Assists in coordination of Upward Bound’s social media and engage with students daily.
• Serve as a liaison of Upward Bound to target schools and community partners.
