As a Server, you guide guests through menu selections, wine service, pacing, and payment, working closely with assistants, runners, the bar, and kitchen to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Qualifications

• Upscale or fine-dining experience preferred.
• Confident knowledge of food and wine and menu items.
• Clear communication and ability to manage several tables calmly.
• Team-focused, professional presentation and reliable hospitality.
• Minimum two years serving experience, including multi-course service.
• Familiarity with fine-dining service sequence and pacing.
• Ability to explain ingredients and pairings with guests' preferences and budget.
• Proficiency with POS entry, course and seat assignments, and payments.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, verify notes, allergies, and occasions before taking orders.
• Describe dishes, sourcing, and wine options; make recommendations.
• Take and enter orders accurately in POS including modifications.
• Coordinate with kitchen to manage pacing and course timing.
• Provide wine service, opening, pouring, and decanting; suggest bottle selections.
• Lead coordinated food delivery and check guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Assist with table prep, clearing, and timely service with runners.
• Address guest concerns and involve a manager when needed.
• Process payments and splits; thank guests at departure.
• Complete opening/closing duties and participate in training and tastings.
