Job summary

Kaiya Beach Resort in Inlet Beach, Florida is seeking knowledgeable Bartenders to join our opening team and deliver carefully prepared drinks and warm, attentive hospitality.

As a Bartender, you will serve guests at the bar and prepare beverages for the dining room, working with the Lead Bartender and service team to follow the established beverage program and keep the bar ready for service.

Qualifications

• Experience bartending in upscale restaurant or hotel with wine program.
• Strong knowledge of wine varieties and regions.
• Ability to suggest wines by glass and bottle within guest budgets.
• Excellent guest communication and accurate POS handling.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays; Florida certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome bar guests, explain menus, and recommend cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Prepare drinks consistently using established recipes, pours, ingredients, glassware, and garnishes.
• Manage bar guest orders and dining room beverage tickets with servers, communicating delays.
• Enter bar orders in the POS; confirm allergies and modifications with the kitchen.
• Provide wine presentation, opening, pouring, and decanting; know wines offered.
• Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures, check identifications, monitor consumption, involve management as needed.
• Prepare garnishes and approved batches; maintain stock levels; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate transfer of bar charges to dinner checks and process payments at the bar.
• Support stock counts and record breakage, waste, and shortages; inform Lead Bartender.
• Complete opening/closing duties; care for bar equipment; participate in training.
