Boyd Gaming is seeking a Server Assistant to provide exceptional front-of-house support at Ameristar Kansas City. You will greet guests, assist with seating, and maintain knowledge of menu items to ensure seamless service.

The role requires at least 6 months in food service, strong communication, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Compensation begins at $8 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of food service or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service standards and proper table service techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays; move between stations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and setup.
• Reliability and punctuality with consistent attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while staying composed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new service standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, ingredients, and preparation to answer inquiries.
• Deliver water and beverages; ensure glasses are filled.
• Provide bread service and use scripted presentations.
• Serve coffee and additional beverages as required.
• Clear soiled tableware promptly and replace with clean pieces between courses.
• Prepare tables for subsequent courses and maintain cleanliness throughout the meal.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently after guest departure and keep station organized.
