Goodwin Recruiting in Westchester, NY is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a hospitality‑driven front‑of‑house team at an upscale restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences, elevated service, and strong floor management.

Requirements include 1+ year managing a full‑service restaurant, leadership and communication skills, wine and beverage knowledge, and proficiency with POS and reservations systems; willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of management experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Proven experience leading high-caliber, upscale restaurant service.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, food, beverage, and service protocols.
• Experience with wine sales and beverage service.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and anticipate guest and operational needs.
• Proficiency with POS and reservation systems, including managing the floor as a Maitre D.
• Applicable food protection certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop the front-of-house team while maintaining accountability and a positive work environment.
• Oversee daily service, floor plans, staffing, and opening and closing procedures.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, resolve concerns, and build relationships with regular guests.
• Reinforce food, wine, beverage, and service knowledge through pre-shift meetings and ongoing training.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service and consistent hospitality standards.
