Job summary

Max Hospitality, including the Max a Mia restaurant in Avon, CT, is seeking a dynamic Server with open availability to join our upscale dining team. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure high-quality service in a lively setting, with opportunities for growth within the Max Hospitality group.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of server experience in fine dining, knowledge of wine and cocktails, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent experience as a server in an upscale restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails; able to make recommendations.
• Experience with POS systems and handling high-volume service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Take food and beverage orders and relay to kitchen/bar.
• Ensure accurate delivery to guests and maintain presentation standards.
• Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with clear communication.
• Provide recommendations on food/wine pairings and daily specials.
• Maintain a clean dining area and reset tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth dining experiences.
