Job summary

Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City is seeking a friendly Part-Time Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in our full-service hotel restaurant. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

The role requires strong guest service, clear communication, and the ability to upsell premium items. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with opportunities to advance and enjoy Hilton benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of food and beverage service in a full-service setting preferred.
• Experience in high-volume dining and upscale hotel environment a plus.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to upsell and increase average check value.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, provide attentive, professional service throughout dining.
• Present menus, explain offerings, and communicate ingredients and dietary considerations clearly.
• Take and enter orders, confirm preferences, and relay requests to kitchen and bar.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to needs promptly.
• Resolve issues per guidelines and escalate when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, specials, promotions, and service standards.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, host, and service teams for smooth flow.
• Process checks and payments using the POS system accurately.
• Upsell and suggest premium items to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing duties and reset the outlet for next service.
• Keep dining and service areas clean, stocked, and compliant with safety rules.
• Follow brand standards and maintain professional demeanor during peak times.
