Job summary

Hilton Universal/Los Angeles is seeking a Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced, full-service hotel. You will prepare and serve a diverse selection of drinks, provide personalized guest service, and help maintain bar operations in compliance with safety and alcohol service regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2–3 years bartending experience in a hotel or high-volume setting, and POS system experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or other high-volume hospitality environment preferred.
• Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes, brand standards, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by providing prompt, courteous, and personalized beverage and food service while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Accurately receive, prepare, and process beverage and food orders from guests and service staff in a high-volume environment.
• Recommend beverages and menu items, utilizing product knowledge to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
• Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with liquor laws and company policies.
• Process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions accurately, maintaining accountability for all financial activities.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar, equipment, glassware, workstations, and guest areas.
• Prepare and replenish garnishes, mixers, beverages, and bar supplies to ensure operational readiness.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation and inventory counts, and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Contribute to beverage menu development, seasonal promotions, and specialty cocktail offerings.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and address intoxicated or disruptive guests in line with hotel policies.
• Collaborate with culinary, restaurant, banquet, and hotel operations teams to ensure efficient service and guest experience.
• Comply with hotel policies, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
