Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Miami is seeking a guest-focused bartender to serve drinks and ensure a positive guest experience. You will stock, garnish, and present beverages, process orders, and handle payments with accuracy, while maintaining compliance with alcohol service rules.

The role requires friendly communication, basic beverage knowledge, and the ability to work long shifts in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth within HEI's hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and handle payments.
• Manual dexterity to garnish, glassware handling, and stocking.
• Ability to remember and promote the menu variety.
• Proficient in POS procedures for pre-checks and closing checks.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
• Strong teamwork and effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including stocking.
• Maintains stock and garnishes fresh fruit and perishables daily.
• Greets guests, promotes and documents drink orders; prepares drinks per recipes.
• Complies with all state, federal and corporate alcohol service rules.
• Inputs orders into POS, creates checks and balances transactions.
• Receives cash, makes change, verifies charges and balances money.
• Locks/stores beverage and equipment, deposits cash drops, secures bank.
• Attends work as scheduled and performs other duties as assigned.
