Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a bar server to maintain daily bar setup, stock beverages and garnishes, greet guests, and document orders. You will handle cash, balance accounts, and ensure drink quality and portion control. Strong communication and math skills are essential.

Hotel beverage service experience preferred. The role involves standing for long periods and collaborating with teammates to deliver excellent guest experiences at our Brickell, Florida location.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, glassware, bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate bar set-up daily, stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper goods, and garnishes.
• Cuts and stores fresh fruit and perishables; ensures product quality.
• Greets guests, takes orders, and presents drinks using standard recipes with portion control.
• Inputs orders into a register and creates checks to balance beverages served.
• Receives cash, verifies charges, and balances money; secures cash drops and bank.
