Job summary

MIKA Coral Gables is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to lead front‑of‑house operations and the execution of private dining experiences. You will oversee lunch and dinner service, maintain a strong floor presence, and coordinate with the Events Sales team for seamless transitions from booking to execution.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in upscale dining, strong leadership and guest relations, and fluency in English, with flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in upscale, fine dining, or luxury hospitality.
• Proven experience coordinating and executing private events and corporate gatherings.
• Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, food, wine, and beverage operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English required; Spanish or additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lunch and dinner service with consistency, efficiency, and hospitality.
• Maintain a visible presence on the dining room floor and lead pre-shift meetings.
• Coordinate private dining events, review BEOs, timelines, and floor plans.
• Serve as on-site contact for event hosts and coordinate staffing and service flow.
• Lead, coach, and develop FOH staff while upholding service standards.
• Ensure accurate event billing and timely communication of additional charges.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef, Beverage Director, and management on events.
