Job summary

Fairmont Orchid on Hawai'i Island seeks friendly hospitality professionals to join our Food & Beverage team. Provide distinctive dining experiences in a luxury, fast‑paced environment and ensure guests’ first impressions through meticulous cleanliness and ambiance.

You will maintain knowledge of all F&B services, upsell offerings to boost revenue, and work with colleagues to deliver impeccable service. Duties include opening/closing side work, HACCP compliance, and access to exclusive employee

Qualifications

• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of additional languages; basic understanding of local languages is an advantage.
• Focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous at all times.
• Work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and energetic.
• Must provide State and Federal clearance for work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).

Responsibilities

• Provide unique dining experiences to guests through warm, personal and detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant through detailed cleanliness, set‑up and ambiance control.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all F&B services, preparations, outlets and hotel features.
• Up‑sell and promote food and beverage offers to maximize sales revenue.
• Pick up and serve food and beverage orders promptly once prepared.
• Remember individual patron names and preferences to extend personalized service.
• Ensure all food and beverage are served according to service standards.
• Clear and tidy tables after guests depart as quickly as possible.
• Perform opening/closing side duties and set all tables according to standards and procedures.
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or when required.
• Apply necessary precautions to meet hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Be well‑versed in hotel fire, life‑safety and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management.
