Fairmont Orchid on Hawai‘i Island is seeking an enthusiastic hospitality professional for a guest‑centered dining role at Brown’s Beach House. You will deliver exceptional service in a luxury setting, manage reservations, and coordinate with servers to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Strong reading, writing and spoken English.
• Ability to speak other languages is a plus.
• Able to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Provide State and Federal requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).

Responsibilities

• Provide unique dining experiences through warm, personal service in a luxury, fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a positive first impression through cleanliness, setup and ambiance control.
• Prepare for dining traffic by coordinating server sections and communications.
• Welcome guests warmly, provide timely service and a personalized farewell.
• Maintain menus and ensure adequate, clean supplies.
• Keep host stand and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
• Manage seating flow and OpenTable reservations.
• Handle reservation inquiries and VIP requests.
• Perform opening/closing duties and set tables per standards.
• Assist other outlets during peak times.
• Apply HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
• Know hotel fire and life-safety procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance and hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
