Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Restaurant Server for E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences in Miami. The role provides food and beverage service in a friendly, enthusiastic, and timely manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

You will greet guests, take orders, describe menus, manage wine service, and enter orders into the POS while maintaining knowledge of offerings and regulations. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a food server in a full-service restaurant.
• Must meet minimum age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating.
• Present menus and wine lists to guests and describe all daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and courteously, and respond to guests' questions.
• Open, present, and pour wines and champagnes in a professional manner as needed.
• Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Maintain knowledge of state liquor regulations and verify the legal drinking age of guests.
• Review food orders for accuracy and coordinate with kitchen staff to rectify deficiencies.
• Refill guests' beverages as requested and monitor guests during meals.
• Suggest desserts and accurately take and deliver dessert orders.
• Deliver an itemized bill to guests upon meal completion.
• Handle purchasing transactions and process payments via POS.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation and perform closing duties.
• Resolve guest problems using good judgment, or refer to F&B Supervisor.
• Assist other staff to ensure optimum service.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
