Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a skilled Bartender for E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences in Miami to deliver exceptional beverage service and guest interaction. You will prepare cocktails, maintain a clean bar, and guide guests through our drink menu, ensuring accuracy in payments and adherence to liquor laws.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, strong customer service, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• 1–2 years of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar establishment preferred.
• Must be the minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of beverage and bar equipment maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Create and maintain an appealing and well-organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking orders, offering recommendations, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, processing payments and providing guests with receipts.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel’s drink menu, including cocktail recipes, wine selections, and special promotions.
• Monitor and restock bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and spirits, to ensure seamless and efficient service.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, verifying the age of guests and refusing service to those who are visibly intoxicated or underage.
• Participate in regular inventory checks, assisting in ordering and receiving bar supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, new beverage offerings, and drink preparation techniques to enhance the hotel’s drink offerings.
• Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as local and state liquor laws.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and seek to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel’s uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
