Job summary

WR Engineering in the United States is seeking an experienced UPS Technician to join its field service team along the Raleigh to Charlotte corridor.

You will service, maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase UPS systems across customer sites, performing startups, commissioning and preventive maintenance.

The role requires significant travel (up to 75%), a valid driver's license, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' hands-on experience with 3-phase UPS systems.
• Strong AC/DC electrical knowledge.
• Experience with UPS batteries and battery maintenance.
• Factory UPS training advantageous.
• Comfortable with extensive regional travel, potentially up to 75%.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase UPS systems.
• Perform UPS start-ups, commissioning and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimize customer downtime.
• Work on battery systems, PDUs and static switches.
• Install and maintain critical power and battery equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Participate in emergency/on-call support when required.
