Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled electrical power technician to maintain, test and repair UPS and battery systems for critical infrastructure projects.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency service calls, and provide technical support while adhering to NEC and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of OEM experience in power electronics, strong diagnostic abilities, and proficiency with schematics and field reporting.

Qualifications

• AA/BS degree in Electrical and/or Electronics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 5+ years OEM experience in power electronic system maintenance and repair.
• Experience with UPS systems, batteries, and test equipment; familiar with NEC and safety standards.
• Proficiency with reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and certify power electronics and their components to ensure reliability and quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service on UPS and battery systems.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors and maintain documentation (Field Service Reports, Time Sheets).
