Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking an experienced professional to manage new product and engineering program launches from design through validation and initial production. You will verify design information, lead pilot Builds, and train plant teams to meet quality and aesthetic standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating pilot parts, ensuring BOM accuracy, and driving DFMA and FMEA activities with the upholstery manufacturing voice across locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Full knowledge of La-Z-Boy manufacturing standards and tolerances.
• 5 years’ experience in upholstery cell operations or equivalent design time in R&D.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, prints, and BOMs.
• Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review new product/engineering program information and provide kickoff questions.
• DFMA review and voice of upholstery manufacturing in reviews.
• Coordinate verification parts and pilot builds across centers and suppliers.
• Verify design data such as upholstery notes, prints, and BOMs.
• Lead program launches and train trainers on first production units.
