Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Dayton, TN seeks a New Product Launch Technician II to manage product program launch and verification, ensuring design quality and aesthetic expectations are met. You will lead initial training at manufacturing facilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize post-launch changes.

The role requires upholstery process expertise, DFMA and APQP familiarity, and ability to coordinate verification across centers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Fully trained in upholstery, framing, sub-upholstery, assembly and packaging.
• 5 years’ experience in upholstery cell operations or equivalent design time at R&D.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, upholstery notes, prints and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review new product/engineering program information and provide kickoff questions.
• Review design iterations for DFMA best practices.
• Coordinate delivery of new program verification and pilot build parts.
• Train trainers and cell team members on first production units and assist in training at additional locations.
• Lead new product/engineering program review meetings with plant leadership.
