Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in the United States seeks a seasoned leader to own the textile and leather cover strategy, driving supplier diversification, material innovation and competitive differentiation across all product categories. You will partner with design, engineering and sourcing to align cover initiatives with business goals and market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textiles, Design or related field with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years Leadership/Supervisory experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with multiple projects.
• Deep understanding of textile and furniture industries.
• Knowledge of color management and experience with upholstery fabrics and leathers.
• Travel up to 35% Domestic & International.

Responsibilities

• Owns cover strategy for all categories through market growth opportunities and consumer insights.
• Develops balanced assortment of covers meeting merchandising needs.
• Leads cover decisions with Product Design Category leads, Supply Chain & R&D.
• Partners on cover life cycle, target price points and volumes.
• Conducts competitive research on textile, leather, and color trends.
• Collaborates on product/cover positioning and go-to-market assets.
• Directs design and technical construction with vendor partners.
• Develops and manages cover strategy and seeks new textile discoveries.
• Leads supplier evaluations to support diversification and capabilities.
