Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure every product leaving the Distribution Center meets our standards for quality, comfort, appearance, and function.

You will inspect, test, repair or replace defective components, perform upholstery and wood repairs, and collaborate with the Quality team to drive continuous improvements across the RDC. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Journeyman certification or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Knowledge of upholstery and wood products helpful.
• Capable of using power tools and reading basic specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily product inspection and testing for delivery readiness.
• Repair, adjust, or replace defective components and test operation.
• Inspect upholstery, wood, brackets, connectors, and mechanisms.
• Calculate repair parts and labor costs for claims; order parts as needed.
• Maintain basic parts inventory and document quality issues daily.
• Provide weekly feedback to the Quality team; support improvements.
