Job summary

Hardsuit Labs in Canada is seeking a Mid to Senior Technical Artist to bridge artistic vision and technical execution in Unreal Engine 5. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to optimize pipelines, build high-quality materials, and push visual boundaries across platforms from AAA to mobile.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the 3D art pipeline, strong math, and experience with shader work, Niagara FX, Lumen, and Nanite.

Qualifications

• Artistic foundation in lighting, color theory, composition and PBR rendering standards/calibration.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex technical art issues.
• Proficiency with UE5 Blueprint scripting and data-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline & Workflow Optimization: Define, build, and enforce technical and quality standards for all in-game art assets; document pipelines.
