Job summary

PingWind, Inc. is seeking an Unmanned Systems Technician II to assemble, integrate, test, and maintain unmanned aerial systems. You will work with engineers to ensure systems are mission-ready, and you will apply CAD, addititive manufacturing, and embedded programming to develop subsystems.

You should have 3+ years of hands-on UAV experience or 7 years without a degree, with Secret clearance and DOT/FAA related certifications as applicable. The role is on-site in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree inElectrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with UAVs or UxS; 5+ years in UAV design/assembly preferred.
• Experience with propulsion systems and flight control software.
• Proficient with testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with CAD, debugging tools, and embedded programming.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, test, and maintain unmanned systems.
• Develop, fabricate, and sustain UAV subsystems and mission support equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues using manuals and engineering docs.
• Work with engineers to ensure operational readiness and performance.
• Design and implement electrical/mechanical interfaces and systems.
• Use CAD for rapid prototyping and addititive manufacturing.
