Stony Brook University is seeking a Buyer to support procurement for researchers, faculty, and staff. You will communicate with suppliers and internal partners to secure goods and services, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely fulfillment.

The role requires strong writing and verbal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within university guidelines and SUNY policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with two years of full-time procurement experience.
• Associate’s degree with four years of directly related full-time experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel are required.

Responsabilités

• Support purchasing needs of researchers, faculty, and staff.
• Communicate/negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain procurement records and create reports in WolfMart Contracts+.
