Job summary

GROB is seeking a capable project manager to oversee technical, commercial, and timing aspects of projects. You will develop quotes, update program schedules, and serve as the primary contact for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed fields or related fields.
• Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings / 3D models and GD&T familiarity.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Provide deadlines for project stages and manage timelines.
• Lead customer meetings and update schedule or budget changes.
• Delegate tasks to team members with the best fit.
• Evaluate options and implement effective project progression.
• Perform quality control to maintain standards throughout development.
• Assess scope of supply at order placement.
• Prepare customer time schedules and respond to inquiries with quotes.
• Analyze RFQs and SOWs to create new quotes.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders on the project.
• Conduct program review meetings with the customer.
• Release internal job orders upon customer orders.
• Manage project costs using a cost book.
• Support runoff tasks with customer coordination and checklists.

Job description

The job function will be to manage projects from a technical, commercial, and timing point of view. We expect this individual to have a solid background of our product, to develop quotes on its own and to update program schedules and be the lead point of contact to the customer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide the team with deadlines for different stages throughout the project’s lifecycle
• Participate in meetings with the project team to answer questions and announce schedule or budget changes
• Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
• Making effective changes when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
• Technical evaluation of the scope of supply at order placement
• Elaboration of customer Time Schedules
• Analysis of customer inquiries during the program & submittal of supplementary quotes
• Analysis of quotation requests (RFQ) and scopes of work (SOW) including creation of new customer quotes
• Coordination of the project involvement of the key persons and stakeholders internally and externally
• Program review meetings with the customer
• Internal Job order release in case of order through customer
• Cost Management of the project with a project cost book
• Support runoff tasks with customer coordination and checklists

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in or related to one of the fields below:
• Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Industrial, OR Automation Engineering
• Accounting / Finance / Economics
• Statistics / Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Information Systems / IT / CS
• Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings / 3D Models
• Knowledge of mechanical design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
