Job summary

GROB Group is seeking a project manager to lead technical, commercial, and scheduling aspects of complex programs in Bluffton, OH. You will own quotes, maintain schedules, and serve as the lead customer contact across the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Travel may be domestic and international; a robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field as listed; relevant certifications welcome.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and projects.
• Strong numeracy and data analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with mechanical design concepts and GD&T.
• Ability to learn new software tools quickly (AutoCAD, 3D design, SAP, PowerBI).

Job description

The job function will be to manage projects from a technical, commercial, and timing point of view. We expect this individual to have a solid background of our product, to develop quotes on its own and to update program schedules and be the lead point of contact to the customer.

• Provide the team with deadlines for different stages throughout the project’s lifecycle
• Participate in meetings with the project team to answer questions and announce schedule or budget changes
• Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
• Making effective changes when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
• Technical evaluation of the scope of supply at order placement
• Elaboration of customer Time Schedules
• Analysis of customer inquiries during the program & submittal of supplementary quotes
• Analysis of quotation requests (RFQ) and scopes of work (SOW) including creation of new customer quotes
• Coordination of the project involvement of the key persons and stakeholders internally and externally
• Program review meetings with the customer
• Internal Job order release in case of order through customer
• Cost Management of the project with a project cost book
• Support runoff tasks with customer coordination and checklists

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in or related to one of the fields below:
• Accounting / Finance / Economics
• Statistics / Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Information Systems / IT / CS
• Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings / 3D Models
• Knowledge of mechanical design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Willing to travel domestic and international as needed
