John Marshall Bank is hiring a Teller or Universal Banker for our Tysons Branch. You will deliver exceptional customer service, open accounts, and execute both routine and complex financial transactions with precision.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, regulatory compliance, and supporting branch performance while maintaining strong community ties. Prior teller experience and comfort with digital platforms are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a bank branch or similar setting.
• Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to balance ledgers and calculate totals accurately.
• Attention to confidentiality and fraud awareness.
• Comfort with digital banking platforms and internal systems.
• Willingness to travel to other branches for training and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional experiences by building rapport with customers and colleagues.
• Open new accounts and execute routine and complex transactions (wires, CDs, loan payments).
• Identify financial needs to cross-sell and refer banking products.
• Process cash handling, end-of-day tallies, and secure cash shipments.
• Apply CTR/CIP compliance and standard procedures to mitigate risk.
• Spot counterfeit items and ensure accuracy in cash handling.
• Assist with coaching and training of new tellers and staff.
• Support branch operations and optimize use of digital banking tools.
