Job summary

Truist is seeking a regular Universal Banker in Bedford, VA who provides timely client transactions, accurate records, and superior service while understanding clients' financial needs. You will be cross-trained to support sales and service activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, teller or cash handling experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Two years teller/cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and branch automation software.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs; weekends/extended hours possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide distinctive client experience with courteous conversation and accurate handling of transactions.
• Educate clients on digital self-service options (ATMs, Online/Mobile banking).
• Support sales through outbound calls and referral to branch teams.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and deliver Truist expertise.
• Participate in branch leadership routines and training to grow product knowledge.
• Adhere to internal controls, procedures, and risk policies.
• Serve as secondary contact for new accounts and issue resolution; manage workload with branch demands.
