WaterStone Bank in Wisconsin is seeking a Universal Banker I to support customers with teller transactions and product recommendations. The starting salary is $19.50 per hour and up, depending on experience, with a dual focus on platform and teller duties to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• The Universal Banker I assists customers with teller transactions and product solutions.
• Must complete Banker Certification within 18 months of hire/promotion date.
• Work under supervision of an Assistant Branch Manager or Community President.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer transactions with a high level of integrity, accuracy and knowledge. Operates in full compliance with internal policies/procedures, as well as applicable regulations/laws.
• Offer bank products to existing customers and/or prospects using the established sales process while maintaining sales and procedural proficiency in all services.
• Accurately open, maintain, and close deposit accounts and services.
• Identify, expand and deepen customer relationships by profiling customers in an effort to recommend appropriate products and services that meet customer needs.
• Make referrals to other appropriate lines of business including Residential Lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS and Merchant Services to meet customer needs.
• Engage in proactive sales and cross-sell activities, including service-related activities, making outbound onboarding and campaign calls and follow-up with customer as appropriate and on referrals received.
• Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues, including phone and in-person.
• Maintain knowledge of WSB’s core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts.
• Focus on the skills and attributes in order to complete the Banker Certification process
• Perform other duties as assigned.
