Job summary

WaterStone Bank is seeking a Universal Banker I to deliver outstanding service with every customer interaction in a dual Platform/Teller role. Starting hourly wage $19.50+, with progression based on experience and training, including certification within 18 months.

Under supervision, you will process transactions, promote deposit products, grow customer relationships, and refer to Residential Lending, Business Banking, and other lines of business as appropriate.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sales experience.
• 2–4 years of customer service experience.
• Preferred: 2–4 years of sales and customer service experience in branch banking.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions with accuracy and integrity, in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Offer bank products to customers and prospects using the established sales process.
• Open, maintain, and close deposit accounts and services.
• Identify and deepen customer relationships, referring to Residential Lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and other lines of business as needed.
• Engage in proactive sales and cross-sell activities and resolve customer questions or issues.
