Job summary

Mechanics Bank in Santa Rosa, CA seeks a Universal Banker to deliver outstanding customer service on-site. You will handle basic to moderately complex banking transactions, open accounts, and identify opportunities to refer products and services.

Under supervision, you’ll balance cash, process deposits and withdrawals, assist with online banking, and ensure compliance with banking regulations while building long-term relationships with customers and the leadership team to drive growth.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum of 1 year banking and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions and deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
• Opens and closes customer accounts, including checking and savings.
• Assists customers with online and mobile banking and issues.
• Balances cash and follows cash handling procedures.
• Promotes deposit and lending products and provides referrals.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.
