Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Universal Banker to join our on-site team in Seattle. You will perform basic to moderately complex banking transactions, open accounts, and assist customers with online banking while promoting the full range of deposit and lending products.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to policies are essential as you balance cash, handle transfers, and ensure regulatory compliance. Travel not required; in-person service emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum of 1 year banking and cash handling experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Ability to make decisions using information available.
• Working knowledge of Bank deposit products and services.
• Working knowledge of Bank's consumer loan products.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions and works directly with customers.
• Accepts, verifies, and processes basic to more complex transactions while following procedures and security guidelines.
• Maintains accurate cash balancing and handle deposits, withdrawals, checks, and transfers.
• Opens and closes customer accounts, including checking and savings.
• Assists customers with online banking, mobile banking, and general account issues.
• Promotes deposit and lending products to meet customer needs.
• Provides exemplary customer service in person and over the phone.
