Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Unit Supply Specialist to ensure Soldiers are well supplied and equipped for missions. You will oversee receiving, inspecting, storing, and delivering supplies, and secure weapons and ammunition while maintaining accurate records.

You will train through Basic and Advanced Individual Training, earning a regular paycheck during drill weekends and qualifying for tuition assistance. This role develops logistics and warehouse skills for civilian careers.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be between 17 and 35
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a physical exam
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive small arms; secure weapons and ammunition in security areas
• Schedule and perform preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons
• Operate unit level computers
• Oversee shipping, storage and supply of Army National Guard equipment
• Prepare and organize documents; maintain automated systems; ensure weapons and ammunition security and maintenance
